About Polyparts

From refurbishment to a part made for the job.

Established in 1997, Polyparts refurbishes rubber products and helps customers design and manufacture new polyurethane components.

What we do

Bring us the worn part—or the idea for a new one.

Established in 1997, Polyparts does more than refurbish existing rubber components. If a part is worn, hard to source or no longer available, we can assess it for refurbishment. If you need a new component, we can also help with its design and manufacture in polyurethane.

In automotive work, we refurbish selected ball joints as well as mountings, suspension bushes and other components. We use engineered plastic for ball-joint refurbishment, but cannot guarantee or warranty this work because ball joints are high-stress parts whose internal condition we cannot inspect. We do not refurbish ball joints from Isuzu KB-series vehicles or Ford Everest. Read our ball-joint FAQs before enquiring.

Our work serves automotive and industrial equipment, rail transport, aviation, road building, mining and agriculture. Applications include suspension bushes, mountings, vibration dampers, dust-cover seals, shock-absorber rubbers, drive wheels, castors, flexible couplings, rollers, conveyor parts, cyclone components, chute and hopper linings, and abrasion- or corrosion-resistant linings and coatings.

Polyurethane can be selected for properties such as resistance to abrasion, oil and fuel, water, petrochemicals, pressure, vibration and friction, as well as ageing performance, load-bearing capacity and impact strength. In our experience, road salt and oil or petrol leaks can be particularly hard on engine mountings and other high-wear parts; a suitable polyurethane formulation may offer better resistance than standard rubber in those conditions. The properties needed depend on the material formulation and the part's operating conditions.

From the first idea to the finished part

Tell us what the component needs to do, where it will be used and what you already know about its shape or material. If you have a sample, drawing or photos, those can help us understand the application and discuss design and manufacturing options.

Based in Brackenfell, Cape Town, Polyparts works with customers across the Western Cape and South Africa. Contact us to discuss your part and delivery options.
