POLYURETHANE / BUILT FOR THE APPLICATION

Built around the way you drive

Polyurethane.
Performance, by design.

That’s why it’s a popular choice for performance builds, restorations and drivers who want a more responsive feel from their suspension.

01 / SUPPORT

Firmer feel

Polyurethane bushes can provide firmer support than standard rubber, depending on the design and application.

02 / CONTROL

Less unwanted flex

In the right setup, reduced bush movement can help keep suspension components more precisely located.

03 / THE RIGHT FIT

Setup matters

A firmer bush can also transmit more vibration. We assess the part and how the car is used before recommending an option.

Refurbish / Design / Manufacture

From worn-out part to a part made from scratch.

A discontinued mounting. A replacement that costs more than it should. Or a component that needs to be made from scratch. We refurbish worn rubber parts, and can also help with the design and manufacture of new polyurethane components.

Our work spans automotive and enthusiast vehicles, industrial equipment, rail transport, aviation, road building, mining and agriculture. Based in Brackenfell, Cape Town, we work with customers across the Western Cape and South Africa. Contact us to discuss your part and delivery options.

From suspension components to industrial equipment, we refurbish and manufacture polyurethane parts for a wide range of applications, including rail transport, aviation, mining, road building and agriculture.

01 / Components

What we work on

  • Suspension parts, bushes, mountings and vibration dampers
  • Shock-absorber rubbers and dust-cover seals
  • Drive wheels, castors and flexible couplings
  • Rollers, conveyor parts, cyclone components, and chute and hopper linings
  • Abrasion- and corrosion-resistant linings and coatings
02 / Material characteristics

Specified for the job

Depending on the polyurethane formulation and application, components can be designed for resistance to abrasion, oil and fuel, water, petrochemicals, pressure, vibration and friction. Other useful properties can include ageing performance, load-bearing capacity and impact strength.

In our experience, road salt and oil or petrol leaks can be hard on engine mountings and other high-wear parts. A suitable polyurethane formulation may be more resistant than standard rubber to these exposures, but no material can compensate for an unresolved leak or unsuitable installation.

Share the operating conditions and what the part needs to do. We can discuss the material and component options for your application.
